  The Kegs formula rarely disappoints conservative eaters. Service has always polished and efficient with rare hiccups. Can go on and on about this steak or that entree but we've all been there right? Thing is what was once considered fine dining, is now just a well cooked steak and conformist sides . Cant say much for the appetizer menu, rather blah.

  Food was mostly excellent, Service was quick and attentive. The wait was a little frustrating to me and the hostess wasn't very clear about whether we could wait in the lounge or if that forfeited our place in line. Steak was cooked perfect but wife's french fries looked like they came in a bag from the superstore and were not very crispy. Still it was a good meal and worth the wait.

  Thing is, in a day and age where even the average diner can be an adventurous foodie, with all the other options out there to pick from, the Keg formula becomes archaic. It merely defines what was good, but still sits solidly in the middle ground.

  This is pretty standard for the Keg. It is well run and offers nice ambiance once you are inside. My one quibble is that I think the atmosphere would be better if they had made use of one of the older heritage buildings in town of which many are available.

  It was among the top five restaurants in Thunder Bay for years but has dropped a few spots due to a welcome resurgence of interesting restaurants in recent years. Still interesting often means that you may love or hate it so this remains a reliable choice.

  The food is mostly based around meat and you are already familiar with it if have dined at one of their other locations. The food is very good as is the wine list. It may be a chain but it is definitely a step up from most chains.

  Great decor and ambience. Pleasant front line staff. Good food and drinks.

  Another good location in the city for eating out. Food is very good. Not the cheapest place to eat. However, the staff and service were very good.
